Our Privacy Commitment

Privacy is fundamental to our products. Our desktop software (including Video Redactor) processes all data locally on your machine. We do not collect, access, or transmit your files, videos, projects, or redacted content. Zero telemetry. Zero tracking in our applications. Your data stays on your device.

Extreme Media ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website extreme-media.co.uk and develops software products including Video Redactor, OT Snow, Tide LE, and other applications (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Services. Important: We collect NO data from our desktop applications.

  • Video Redactor processes all video and data locally on your computer
  • No files, projects, or redacted content are uploaded to our servers

  • No network connections are made (except for license activation)
  • Your data never leaves your device

The only data exchanged with our servers is:

  • License Activation: License key and basic device identifier for verification (encrypted and minimal)
  • No ongoing communication after initial activation

2.3 Garmin Connect IQ Apps (OT Snow, Tide LE)

Our Garmin applications:

  • Location Data: GPS coordinates to determine nearest ski resort or tide station (processed on-device, not stored by us)
  • API Requests: Anonymous requests to third-party weather and tide data providers
  • No Personal Data: We do not collect personally identifiable information from our Garmin apps

Garmin may collect usage data through their Connect IQ platform. Please refer to Garmin's Privacy Policy for their data practices.

2.4 Beta Program Participants

If you join our beta program, we collect:

  • Email address for communication
  • Name (optional)
  • Feedback and bug reports you voluntarily submit
  • Payment information (processed by third-party payment processors)

Desktop Software Security: Because our desktop applications process data entirely locally, your sensitive files (videos, projects) are never transmitted over the internet and remain under your control. This is the most secure approach to data processing.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
